What Are MyBizAccount, MyGroundBiz and BuildAGroundBiz? FedEx Contractor Portals Explained
MyBizAccount is the FedEx site where a contracted service provider's authorized people view and manage their own business information, including agreement terms and weekly settlement statements. MyGroundBiz is FedEx's news site for contractors, and its sign-in page links to MyBizAccount and FedEx's other contractor sites. BuildAGroundBiz is where FedEx lists contracting opportunities for people who don't have a contract yet. eTruckBiz is not a FedEx portal: it's an independent company that sells services to FedEx contractors.
The portal descriptions below come from FedEx's own public pages: the MyBizAccount sign-in page, the MyGroundBiz sign-in page, BuildAGroundBiz and FedEx's contracting site. What you see once you sign in depends on your agreement and your access, so treat your own account as the final word.
The FedEx contractor sites at a glance
- MyBizAccount (mybizaccount.fedex.com): your business's own information. Agreement terms, settlement and charge statements, reports and forms. For current contractors.
- MyGroundBiz (mygroundbiz.com): news and general information for contractors. Its sign-in page takes a FedEx ID and links out to MyBizAccount and the sites below. MyBizAccount points here for news and general information.
- BuildAGroundBiz (buildagroundbiz.com): contracting opportunities by state and province. For people looking to contract with FedEx.
- SPOTlight: near-real-time operations results and trends, linked from MyGroundBiz.
- Service Provider Reference Center: reference content for ISPs, also linked from MyGroundBiz.
What is MyBizAccount?
MyBizAccount is FedEx's site for running the business side of a contract. Its sign-in page describes it as an interactive site where a service provider's authorized personnel can view and manage information unique to that service provider, "including Agreement terms, Settlement/Charge statements, reports, forms, and more."
For an owner, that makes it the place the money documents live. The settlement statement is what FedEx paid the operation for a week, and the agreement is what sets the rates behind it. FedEx's contracting FAQ says service providers are paid an agreed-upon amount based on the volume of stops and packages delivered, and that payments are made weekly.
The sign-in page also says the site has scheduled weekly maintenance every Sunday from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Eastern, when it may be unavailable. If you pull your statements on Sunday mornings, plan around that window.
What is MyGroundBiz?
MyGroundBiz is FedEx's news and general-information site for contractors. Its sign-in page asks for your FedEx ID and links to four other sites, each with a one-line description:
- MyBizAccount, to manage agreement information and use interactive applications.
- BuildAGroundBiz, to explore contracting opportunities.
- SPOTlight, for near-real-time operations results and trends.
- The Service Provider Reference Center, for specialized reference content for ISPs.
So when someone says "log into MyGroundBiz," they may mean MyGroundBiz itself or one of the sites it links to. If you're after a statement or your agreement, the site you want is MyBizAccount, which has its own sign-in, also with a FedEx ID.
What is BuildAGroundBiz?
BuildAGroundBiz is for people who want a FedEx contract, not people who already have one. Its home page lets you click a state or province to see contracting opportunities there, or view them all, and you create or sign in to an account to request information on an individual opportunity. It also has sections on meeting with FedEx, types of opportunities, contracting standards and next steps.
FedEx's contracting site, which explains the opportunity itself, sends visitors to BuildAGroundBiz to find a market. People looking for a driving job rather than a contract are pointed to a separate driver page from BuildAGroundBiz. If you're new to the terms, start with what a FedEx ISP is.
Is eTruckBiz part of FedEx?
No. eTruckBiz is an independent company that sells business support to FedEx contracted service providers. Its own site describes it as a business growth and support system built for them, covering back-office administration, performance, budgeting and safety, and it states that eTruckBiz is "not endorsed, sponsored, or otherwise affiliated with FedEx Corporation." It isn't where FedEx publishes your settlement statements or your agreement; those come from FedEx, through MyBizAccount. See etruckbiz.com for what it offers.
Which documents tell you what the operation earns?
Three documents set the revenue side of the business. MyBizAccount's sign-in page names two of them, agreement terms and settlement statements, among what it holds.
- The weekly settlement statement. What FedEx paid for the week, by CSA, before your costs. It's revenue, not profit. See how to read a FedEx Ground settlement statement.
- Your Schedule C rate card. Part of your agreement, it sets the per-stop and per-package rates and the fixed charges the statement should reflect. See how to read your Schedule C.
- MESO offers. The offers FedEx makes, usually at renewal, that you choose between; the one you pick sets what the next agreement pays. See how to evaluate a FedEx MESO offer.
Read together, they answer the questions an owner actually has: what the week paid, whether it paid what the contract says, and what the next contract will be worth once labor, trucks and overhead come out of it.
Common questions
Who can sign in to MyBizAccount?
The sign-in page says it's for a service provider's authorized personnel. Who counts as authorized is set on your account, so ask whoever manages access for your business, or FedEx, if you can't get in.
Is MyGroundBiz the same as MyBizAccount?
No. MyGroundBiz is the hub you sign in to with a FedEx ID, and MyBizAccount is one of the sites it links to: the one that holds your agreement terms and statements.
Where do I find my settlement statement?
In MyBizAccount. Its sign-in page lists settlement and charge statements among the information it holds.
Why can't I get into MyBizAccount on a Sunday morning?
FedEx schedules weekly maintenance every Sunday from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Eastern, and the site may be unavailable then.
Do I need BuildAGroundBiz if I already have a contract?
Not to run the one you have. It lists contracting opportunities, so it matters if you're looking to take on another market.
From the portal to what the operation earns
Route Impact exists to make FedEx Ground operations more profitable. Your AI staff finds the profit in the contract you sign, the routes you run, the drivers you pay, the trucks you keep and the books you close. Connect FedEx, the Route Impact extension for Chrome on a computer, works inside your own MyBizAccount session: sign in, start a sync, and it finds the statements you don't have yet, so Route Impact never sees your FedEx password. Prefer to upload? The statements you already download work too. Your AI settlement auditor checks each week's stop and package rates, service charge and brand promotion against the Schedule C on file and flags anything unusual for your review, and your AI contract analyst models each MESO offer's revenue across volume scenarios, so you can see which one wins before you sign. We're operators too, and margins in this business are too tight to run the way they used to be run. Once the statements have been read, you know what the week paid without opening the spreadsheet.
